About this Event
This class will be focused on winter tree identification that looks at bark, leaf scars, buds and tree shape and habitat to help us learn to ID them. We’ll visit Witch Hazel, Willow and Walnut but so many more! While we ID them we’ll talk about edible and medicinal uses of these trees and when they would be harvested. We’ll conclude class with a harvest from White Pine to make oxymels for you to take home and include in your salad dressings and beverages.
* Snow date scheduled for April 5th
About the Instructor:

A lifelong learner, Lacey studies with noted experts and has completed two years of apprenticeship at the Wild Ginger Herbal Center (formerly Centro Ashe), as well as two study trips to Costa Rica and training on the body, with Tammi Sweet of Heartstone Herbal School. In 2017, she completed coursework on fermentation with Sandor Katz in Tennessee, and in 2019, she completed an apprenticeship with Susquehanna Apothecary, where she honed medicine-making skills.
