Lucia Galloway is the author of two full-length poetry collections, Venus and Other Losses and Some Words for Meanwhile. Her second chapbook, The Garlic Peelers (2014) won the Quill’s Edge Press inaugural chapbook competition. Her poems appear in a variety of journals, including Mid-American Review, Nimrod, The London Review, The Sow’s Ear, Spillway, and Tar River. She enjoys participating in Southern California’s vibrant poetry community, where she co-curates Fourth Saturdays, a reading series supported by Claremont’s Helen Renwick Library.
Karen Greenbaum-Maya, retired clinical psychologist, former German Lit major and writer of restaurant reviews, and a three-time Pushcart and Best of the Net nominee, no longer lives for Art, but still thinks about it a lot. Bamboo Dart Press publishes The Beautiful Leaves (2023) and Eve the Inventor (2025).
Genevieve Kaplan is the author many little things, most recently (aviary) (Veliz Books), Felines, which sounds like feelings (above/ground), and the tiger-zine I’d have to manage my expectations. She’s been on the steering committee of Fourth Saturdays since 2012.
George Hammons has served as a Fourth Saturdays steering committee member since 2023. George studied creative writing at Cal State University San Bernardino. He has two chapbooks currently available on Amazon: Hungry To Bed /Love Poems (Arroyo Seco Press) and Witness (Picture Show Press).
Please note that Fourth Saturdays follows Los Angeles County Covid guidelines. The series is supported by Friends of the Claremont Library.
