The Baker Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies at Juniata College will host its Fourth Annual International Symposium, “Who Pays the Price? Resource Extraction and Environmental Inequity,” on October 6–7, 2025. Free and open to the public, the symposium will gather speakers from Pennsylvania and around the globe to explore the impacts of mining, drilling, and other extractive industries. Attendees will learn how communities—local and international—are reclaiming and reimagining their environments in response to these challenges.
