All are invited to join a very special Heritage Month Celebration, hosted by Fountain Hills Sister Cities! Hispanic Heritage Month is observed each year from September 15 through October 15. The entire month of October is observed as both German Heritage Month and Polish Heritage Month. In a unique and timely tribute to all three of our Sister Cities communities in Ataco, El Salvador, Dierdorf, Germany, and Zamosc, Poland, we invite you to come be part of this special event and see for yourself just how meaningful and beneficial our international partnerships truly are.Taking place at the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce Event Patio, the evening will include a delicious buffet dinner of hunter schnitzel (German pork fritter) with mushroom sauce, golabki (Polish stuffed cabbage rolls), pierogies (Polish dumplings), pupusas (El Salvador stuffed flatbread), and apple strudel, with wine, beer, and other beverages available. There will also be honorary proclamations; exciting presentations about opportunities through Sister Cities such as member programs and events, the Fountain Hills High School student exchange program, and adult trips; musical entertainment; beautiful cultural baskets to be raffled, and more.
Tickets are $50 for adults, $20 for students 11-18, and free for children 10 and under. Proceeds go to support the humanitarian efforts, cultural programs, and student exchanges presented by Fountain Hills Sister Cities
