Welcome one and all to the celebration of the founding of the Barony of Stromgard at our annual Founding Revel. Our theme this year is The Ties that Bind Us, a Knotty Nautical Themed event celebrating our location along one of the great waterways of our region. Come enjoy a variety of dishes and delicious morsels over four removes throughout the day, take part in games and classes, compete in our food competitions, or just enjoy a chance to celebrate the founding of our great barony with friends.
We will be having a pickled and fermented foods contest where people may enter their favorite pickled or fermented preserved foods. Bring enough to share with 15 other people, and it will be used in the Supper Remove after judging has completed.
Or if a sweet tooth is more your inclination, compete in a dessert contest with your favorite dessert. Bringing enough to share with 15 other people, and it will be used in the Dessert Remove after juding has completed.
Duchess Miranda will be giving a Norse Poetry class around the second remove, and will be judging a Norse Poetry contest to be awarded at evening court. Come with your gilded words compose a glorious ode in the style of the vikings proclaiming the word fame of our wonderful barony!
We will have games available for people to play as they mingle and nibble. We will hopefully be able to offer some classes as well (more information to come as we get more details together). Looking into Martial Activities (heavy and rapier) and will update details as we get more.
