This year’s Naval Academy Founder’s Day Students & Candidate Dinner, celebrating the 179th anniversary of the founding of the U. S. Naval Academy, is on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at Feather Sound Country Club, 2201 Feather Sound Drive, Clearwater, FL 33762 (off I-275 and Ulmerton Road, on the west side of the Howard Franklin Bridge).
This is an opportunity for Naval Academy alumni and friends to celebrate the founding of their alma mater and to provide valuable information to students and candidates about the Naval Academy and its admissions process.
The members of the U. S. Naval Academy Alumni Association Tampa Bay Chapter invite alumni, friends, and all Florida West Coast high school students and parents (freshmen through seniors), who are candidates for admission or who are interested in learning more about the Naval Academy, to attend.
There is no cost for students and candidates to attend this dinner, as long as the students and candidates are accompanied by a one for one attending parent or guardian. The cost for parents, guardians, alumni, and guests is $60 each (early registration) or $65 each (after September 20, 2024). The cost for a student with no one for one adullt attending is $30 each (early registration) or $32.50 (after September 20, 2024) If you are in a situation of Financial hardship, and would like to attend but are unable to pay, please contact Captain Steve Swift at [email protected] to discuss your situation so we can help you.
The deadline to register and pay is Monday, October 1, 2024, at 11:59 PM (no resunds after that date and time)
Dress is Summer White for Navy, Class “C” uniform for Marines, Business dress for civilians and students (shirt & tie or skirt/slacks) or equivalent JROTC/Sea Cadet uniform.
To register your party and pay, please register all persons attending with you as a group with a single e-mail contact address. If you must add an attendee later, please identify in the “comments” section the party the late registrant is joining so we can link the members of your party. Enter names as you wish them to appear on name tags.
