Building is HARD. EmpowerHER exists to bring sharp women together to support each other in their most challenging moments. This FREE event is designed for female entrepreneurs building startups in Minnesota, to give them access to the network of supporters they need to thrive.

You can't pour from an empty cup. Learn from Thomas Knoll--a seasoned entrepreneur and mental health advocate--about busting through the mental roadblocks that inevitably come with creating something new, and rallying the troops to achieve your vision.
Is This Event Designed For YOU?
There are ample opportunities to connect with other female business professionals in the twin cities. We’re trying to do something a little different. We aim to create a casual, yet meaningful, environment where women can build genuine relationships with peer female founders on a similar journey. This would be a great event for you if you:
- Are currently building a business you own or have significant stake in
- Have built a business from the ground up at some point in your life
- Are connected to the startup community in a supportive role (think: startup programs)
- Are currently exploring a startup opportunity (no matter how early stage the idea is)
Not A Good Fit:
- Contractors looking to win business
- Salesperson from other industries looking to win business (i.e. insurance, financial advisors, sales & marketing agencies, hiring agencies, etc)
There are plenty of events to network and win business. This is not one of them. If you are in a startup that falls with one of the categories above, you’re welcome to join! But the primary goal of the event is to gain perspective and help from peers, NOT sell your product.

EmpowerHER started with five female founder friends, all craving a little bit more out of their startup network. More insight, more hope, more inspiration, more help. More kickass women! It started in a kitchen, with just the five. From there, an idea for a larger gathering sparked and caught fire. We can’t wait to meet you!
