About this Event
#RestEasyBby is a collective of teachers committed to being trauma infored in our teaching techniques. Foundations of teaching trauma informed yoga will be offered by Naadiya. Naadiya founded #RestEasyBby to create a space for healing around race based stress and trauma, after being deeply moved by the teachings of Dr. Gail Parker (founder of the Black Yoga Teachers Alliance and author of Restorative Yoga for Race Based Stress and Trauma. Naadiya has over 800 hours of yoga teacher training, including a certificate in trauma informed yoga, as well as being trained in psychological first aid. During foundations of teaching trauma informed yoga, Naadiya will cover:
- Understanding Trauma, Including Race- Based Stress and Trauma
- Techniques and Helpful Cues
- Self Care as a Teacher and Managing Triggers
- Historical Harms in Yoga
This training is BIPOC (Black, Indigenous or People of Color) only, and sliding scale: $50 - $85. During checkout it will give you a few payment options - please select the payment tier that works best for you. "Supporters" and "Sustainers" help to provide spots and the ability to offer the training program at more accessible community pricing.
