This hands-on immersive weekend course offers practical training in the clinical use of fire cupping, Gua Sha, and topical herbal preparations. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine with a modern integrative lens, students will learn safety protocols, anatomical considerations, and effective protocols for musculoskeletal pain, immune support, trauma, and internal dysfunction. Emphasis is on hands-on practice, patient communication, and safe, ethical use of tools and medicinals.
- Apply fire cupping, sliding cupping, and flash cupping techniques safely and effectively
- Perform Gua Sha using region-specific protocols
- Select and apply topical trauma liniments, pastes, plasters, and herbal compresses
- Understand the mechanisms and indications of these therapies within TCM and biomedical frameworks
- Design integrated protocols for pain, trauma, and inflammation using external methods
This class is approved for 16 CEUs by the California Acupuncture Board. 16 PDAs pending for NCCAOM.
