Much like other art forms, understanding the evolution of cinema is essential to fully appreciating its artistry.A lifelong cinephile and scholar, GÉRARD AMSELLEM studied at the New York University Tisch School of the Arts. He has directed several short films, is currently working on an independent film project and is finishing a documentary on a French painter Bernard Réquichot. He developed La Cinémathèque, a film club dedicated to quality cinema.
