About this Event
Lucia Barnum, (our 2024 Northwestern Study Grant awardee) will discuss her recent circumnavigation. Lucia circled the globe examining how various international communities handled the recovery process from the devastating impact of wildfires.
She examined spots in Australia, Greece, Portugal, Ghana, Argentina and Brazil in an amazing 12-week period. Some of her observations confirmed her going-in positions. Others surprised her and caused some serious rethinking. She also learned a lot about herself.
At the brunch she will summarize her findings, both professional and personal, as well as take audience questions.
This year’s venue will be in the 2nd floor private dining room of Evanston’s FireHouse Grill at 750 Chicago Ave., Evanston (https://firehousegrill.net) from 12 to 2:30 PM. This popular restaurant is housed in a decommissioned early 1900s firehouse with lots of relics adorning the walls (and a festive cash bar). Plenty of free street parking is available.
