 On Friday June 2 FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel and FOUND:RE Contemporary located at 1100 N. Central Ave. debut their latest series of exhibitions “WORK! COLOR! LIGHT!” With support provided by Artlink Inc. “WORK! COLOR! LIGHT!” is a compilation of three smaller collections “Work!” “Color!” and “Light!” each with their own theme that will be on display throughout the hotel.

“We are grateful that Arizona has such a large community of vibrant and talented artists” says Chris Genung general manager of FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel. “It is with pride and pleasure that we continue to work with incredible local artists to showcase a vast array of mediums themed and subjects.”

The exhibition consists of the following smaller exhibitions:

“WORK!” celebrates the hard work and dedication of queer artists that have used their creativity to explore the multifaceted experiences of the LGBTQ+ community. This exhibition brings together works from Arizona artists who challenge norms question authority and highlight issues that affect the LGBTQ+ community through their art. Featured artists include Manu Aguirre BrassTuna Anna Brody Manny D Lee Davenport Trea Christopher Grey Reed Hearne Jackson Kloog Harold Lohner Ashley Macias Joel Maduro Scott Stanton Loretta Tedeschi-Cuoco Maxx Valentine Douglas Weber and Summer Raine Young.

“COLOR!” honors vibrant hues bold contrasts and unique approaches to color in art. This exhibition showcases work from Arizona artists who through their art explore the impact of color on people’s emotions perceptions and experiences. From the calming effect of pastels to the bold and confrontational use of bright colors the works on display in this exhibition showcase the transformative power of color in art. “LIGHT!” is a collection of works that uses neon and LEDs to create immersive and captivating installations. This exhibition showcases Arizona artists who use light in innovative ways exploring its power to create mood atmosphere and meaning. In addition to the use of neon and LEDs “LIGHT!” also features paintings and photographs that capture the essence of light and brightness on a 2D surface. These works highlight the ways in which light can be portrayed though different mediums and techniques. Artists with works in this collection include Alejandro Acierto Laura Amphlett Kevin Caron Jason Chakravarty Oliver Charles Valyntina Greiner Jacob "Zesty" Hartman Joseph Hanson Jon Jeffery Hank Kenneally Lucas J. Knowles Bill Pliske Christopher Roche Tara Sharpe Kristin Wesley Reid Woodward and Gary Vulcano.
