Welcome Chatham and The Pittsboro Gallery of Arts are hosting the 4th Annual Found it! A Chatham Rabbit Hunt on Saturday, April 20th, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This event encourages everyone to get outside and explore Pittsboro. Seven embellished rabbit statues will be hidden outside along Hillsboro Street from the courthouse to Hanks Street and the first block of East and West Salisbury Streets. Find a rabbit and, without removing it, take a photo. Once you find at least 5 of the rabbits, show your photos to a Welcome Center attendant to receive a ticket for a chance to win a rabbit. The first 25 visitors to do so will also receive a $10 voucher to be redeemed at one of the participating downtown businesses. Additional raffle tickets to win the custom rabbit statues will be available for $5 each at the Welcome Center. Proceeds of ticket sales will go to Welcome Chatham, a 501(c)3 non-profit agency.

The Chatham County Welcome Center is at 37 Hillsboro Street, Pittsboro, NC.

The fun, free family event is being held in conjunction with the Town of Pittsboro Earth Day Celebration in the Pop-up Park at 50 West Salisbury Street, Pittsboro, NC. Participate in activities related to gardening and the 2024 Earth Day theme Planet vs Plastic.

Other activities include a Storybook Walk along the Hillsboro Street storefronts, Story Time in the Pop-up Park, Outdoor Pilates, and a Goat Petting area.
