About this Event
Create your own photo without the use of a camera! A cyanotype is a photographic printing process that creates a cyan-blue, positive image using iron salts and ultraviolet (UV) light. In this workshop, we will collect flowers and foliage from around the garden at St. Katharine Drexel and create our own cyanotype prints. Students will learn all about the process of creating a cyanotype, and make a few of their own to take home!
In our workshop series "Goin' and Growin'", students will get the chance to get outdoors and connect to nature while creating beautiful art along the way! This summer, LSA is partnering with Urban Farms and Community Gardens across the city of Buffalo to promote community based creativity and environmentally friendly art. From painting to photography, this series offers learning experiences for all ages!
All proceeds from this workshop series will go towards LSA's free community art class fund and the partnering Urban Farm or Community Garden. To learn more about Locust Street Art visit www.locuststreetart.org or email [email protected]
