An Alumni Artist Panel with Avram Finkelstein, Gail Thacker, and Shellburne Thurber
About this Event

The Tufts University Art Galleries in partnership with the SMFA Office of Development and Alumni Engagement welcome current SMFA students, SMFA alumni, and Boston community members to join artists Avram Finkelstein, Gail Thacker, and Shellburne Thurber for a panel conversation moderated by guest curator of Jackson Davidow, PhD. Finkelstein, Thacker, and Thurber’s artworks are featured in the exhibition and explore the relationship among community photographic practices, queer nightlife, and gay liberation in Boston. Their conversation will focus on the intersections of these themes within queer communities at the SMFA and their continued legacies.

The event will be followed by a public reception.
