Join us for a welcoming, friendly and relaxed evening at Buckinghamshire Council's Gateway offices, where you can:
- Find out first hand about fostering from our carers and participate in a Q&A session.
- Meet some of our fostering team, who will take you through the assessment process and how we can support you with your application.
- Discover Mockingbird - an initiative that nurtures the relationships between children, young people and foster families.
- Hear from a care-experienced young person about their time in foster care.
- Learn more about the extensive training, support and allowance scheme we offer.
- Meet like-minded people who want to make a difference.
About the venue:
- Free, onsite parking.
- Accessible & wheelchair friendly.
- Tea and coffee will be provided.
"If you are thinking about fostering - please come along and find out more. Remember, this is just an enquiry. If you decide further down the line that fostering is not for you, that's ok. If you can join us at the session, you will have the potential to be part of our incredible fostering community in Buckinghamshire, where we are all working together to do what we can for local children in care. It’s an incredible experience."
