Foster Midland exists to support and encourage foster parents of Midland County and the surrounding area. We collaborate with all agencies and individuals involved in foster care to create a positive community where everyone has an opportunity to learn, grow, and care together. We do this through regular meetings, communication, and training. What:
Meetings will start with a shared meal and introduction. Kids are welcome to come and eat, and then go downstairs with approved oversight, to play.
Each meeting will include 30 minutes for a meal and congregating together, then 15 minutes of introduction and communication updates followed by a roughly 30-minute training session that should count toward required 6 hours of education for licensed homes. After this, 20 minutes should be allowed for questions and answers, and some flexible time.
