Join the Friends of Shepherdstown Library for History Alive! Mother Jones on Thursday November 2nd, 6:30 pm, in the Commons Room at the Shepherdstown Public Library, 145 Higbee Lane. Mother Jones, portrayed by Karen Vuranch, was an active force in the labor movement in the early part of the 20th century. Her efforts took her all over the nation, from West Virginia to Alabama to Colorado, where she had a tremendous impact on the organization of labor unions. Join us for this fascinating FREE community event. HIstory Alive! is a program of the West Virginia Humanities Council.
