SHIRA LEVIN is a New York based writer/director. Films include: feature film: STARFISH (2017) - Winner AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD; short film trilogy: LAST DAY (2012), OLD JUNK (2013) and UPSIDE DOWN (2014) - Winner AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD; UpROOTED (2014) a “mini-doc;” WALKIN’ (2014), a music video; HANDS (2017) a tiny film. The trilogy shorts screened at festivals around the country and in India and Scotland. STARFISH also played festivals around the country and is now available on Amazon Prime and IndieFlix. Shira is a script consultant and taught screenwriting at New York Film Academy for over ten years. Shira's feature documentary, FORTY YEARS IN A BOX, is now starting the festival circuit. Currently, Shira is working on getting her third feature film made.
