Healing Hike for #WeHikeToHeal Challenge at Horsetooth Falls
Celebrate Mental Health Awareness month and The Outdoor Journal Tour's #WeHikeToHeal challenge with a Healing Hike to connect inward with yourself and outward with nature and the community.
This Healing Hike will be at Horsetooth Falls. We'll take a short stop at the falls before continuing on to another area where we're do a short all levels yoga class, journaling, and a group discussion.
Distance: 2.9 mi
Elevation Gain: 580 ft
Difficulty: easy
Remember to bring:
- good walking shoes
- water
- any layers you might want: hat, jacket/windbreaker, gloves, etc.
- sunscreen
- journal
- pen/pencil
- yoga mat or towel to sit on (optional)
Find us: Meet by the trailhead. I'll have a multicolored REI backpack.
Led by: Jessica Lucey, a yoga teacher with Sun Breath Yoga. She helps athletes and outdoor adventurers feel good in their bodies so they can continue exploring as the years go by. Choice, freedom, curiosity, and play are woven into her classes, which are little oasis of time and connection to explore movement, relax, and not worry about the "to-dos". Logistics:
- Restroom: There is a vault toilet by the trailhead.
- Carpooling is encouraged.
