A great day out beckons horse riders so why not join us for the BHS Forest of Dean pleasure ride!By kind permission of Forestry England, this ride will take place in the ancient and beautiful Forest of Dean in the Wye Valley. The forest has changed may times over the centuries. In medieval times it was a royal hunting forest, before becoming a source of timber for the navy's Tudor warships. By 1938 it was designated as the first National Forest Park. Today the forest is still a working forest, producing sustainable timber for the UK market.
There are long, medium and short route options of either 10 miles, 6 miles or 3 miles respectively. This is a walk and trot ride and the short route is perfect for lead rein. Everyone is welcome!
If you love to hack and enjoy spending quality time with your horse in the outdoors, why not help us to Keep Britain Riding by taking part!
The money raised from this ride will go towards Ride Out UK which preserves and creates off-road routes for equestrians across the UK. Your support will help horses and riders having safe places to ride.
