The "Rolling Stones of Salsa" have chosen London as one of the dates on this very special tour celebrating and retracing their 50-year career in music, and paying tribute to their founding father, Juan Formell who passed away on 1st May 2014.

Known in their native Cuba as ‘El Tren de Cuba’, the Cuban Train, Los Van Van’s innovative and hugely popular Songo rhythm combined with their invigorating live shows and incredible longevity put them very firmly at the top of the Cuban musical tree. To quote Giles Peterson, "If you are in Jamaica and the Wailers were playing you got to see them, if you are in Havana you've got to see Los Van Van performing, it doesn't get any better than that."

Founded in 1969 by bassist and composer Juan Formell, this Cuban super band packed full of virtuoso musicians have in the ensuing 50 plus years set dance floors alight across the world with their everyday chronicles of daily life and romantic ballads. And they have firmly set the standard for contemporary Cuban popular dance music among Cubans, who hold the band and its founder, Juan Formell, in great affection.

Cuba is a powerhouse in the development of popular music, and Los Van Van, the world's premier Latin dance band, continues to rock the Cuban soul and ram dancefloors worldwide.
