Formal Wear Giveaway
Friday, January 30th, 2026 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm
Saturday, January 31st, 2026 from 10:00am - 3:00pm
Both dates are at our Fairmount Street Branch (3000 N Fairmount Street)
Donate clean and gently used formal wear to the Davenport Public Library to help support our Formal Wear Giveaway program in January! We are accepting donations of clean and gently used dresses, suits, blazers, dress pants, ties, bowties, and formal purses, BUT NO shoes or jewelry at this time.
Please drop off your donated items at any of the three Davenport Public Library locations any time during our two drop-off weekends: Friday, January 9th & Saturday, January 10th as well as Friday, January 16th & Saturday, January 17th. Donations will be accepted those days between the hours of 9-5:30pm.
We will be holding our Formal Wear Giveaway two days this year: Friday, January 30th from 2-5p and Saturday, January 31 from 10-3p, both at our Fairmount Street Branch. On the days of the exchange, patrons can browse the donations and take home one of each garment-type. Changing areas will be provided to try on clothing.
