Dates: This class runs Wednesdays from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, starting November 20th and running for 3 weeks (skipping one week for the Thanksgiving holiday).
Additionally, a performance opportunity or opportunities will be offered to the participants of this course at a future Coalition Theater show / shows.
Instructor: Josh Wright
Josh Wright has been involved with Coalition Theater ever since he started taking classes in 2016. He currently performs with the house team Wolf Night, coached the sketch team Anarchy Barn, and co-directs the annual Pride sketch comedy show, Outburst. You can also catch him in various shows such as Can’t Hardly Date, the Improvised RomCom and with his duo, Sweet, Sweet Angel Babies.
Step into the world of short-form musical improv in this exciting three-week course. You'll learn how to create spontaneous, catchy songs and weave them seamlessly into quick, hilarious scenes. With a focus on musicality, comedic timing, and character work, this class will help you build confidence in improvising melodies and lyrics on the fly. Through a series of fun exercises, you'll discover how to transform any suggestion into a musical moment that wows the audience. Whether you're a seasoned performer or new to musical improv, this course will sharpen your skills and unleash your inner performer.
COST: $75
The Coalition Theater is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Once classes begin, all sales are final. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise that prevent you from attending or completing your registered class. While we do our best to accommodate such situations, refunds are awarded only as credit for a future class or shows and are subject to the discretion of The Coalition Theater management. Requests for refunds will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and any decisions regarding refunds will be made at the discretion of the theater.
