Join us for a fun and engaging journey through time using iconic photographs from LIFE Magazine. This special event will test your knowledge of famous buildings and monuments around the world, using powerful imagery and fascinating stories to bring history to life. Each photo comes with trivia questions and behind-the-scenes facts that blend education with entertainment. Whether you’re a history buff, architecture enthusiast, or trivia lover, there’s something for everyone!
Featuring Trivia Leader & Speaker: Trish Smithing, a River Forest native and University of South Carolina alumna, brings a rich and eclectic background to her presentations. Her love of books began at the public library and blossomed into a lifelong passion for learning and travel. Trish is a trained chef from the Culinary Institute of New York, a registered dental hygienist, and a published author. She volunteers with the Aging Care Community and serves as Recording Secretary for the Daughters of the American Revolution. A former docent at the Lake Tomahawk Museum, Trish combines her broad knowledge of history, comedy, art, and even oral health to deliver captivating and memorable programs about people, places, and things.
