Forged Gin Experience, presented by Wakefield Council

If you appreciate the fine things in life… good food, great music and most importantly gin: you’re in the right place! As part of Wakefield Rhubarb Festival, Forged Spirits and Wakefield Council have come together to bring you the Forged Gin Experience.

Tonight, you are the judge, as four supremely talented local mixologists including Qubana, Lobby 1867, The Counting House, KRA:FT, and LOT all battle it out to delight your tastebuds and win your vote, to become the Forged Rhubarb Cocktail Champion of Rhubarbfest 2022.

You will get the chance to enjoy four delicious gin cocktails made with the finest organic and vegan certified small batch gin, courtesy of the award-winning team at Forged Spirits.

In between cocktails you can feast on some freshly prepared Cicchetti (Italian tapas) from local restaurant Fino.

But that’s not all! To keep you entertained between food and cocktails you can sit back, relax and enjoy an eclectic mix of blues, country and pop from guitarist, singer and harmonica player, Mick Shaw, presented by Wakefield Music Collective.

Forged Gin Experience is part of Wakefield Rhubarb Festival, one of the first foodie festivals in the national calendar taking place from 25 – 27 February. A bit about Forged…

Wakefield based Forged Spirits was launched in 2019 by husband and wife team Victoria and Gary Ford, who are dedicated to producing some of the finest gin in the world using Organic and Vegan certified ingredients. The result of which is the multi award winning gin that you will enjoy during your evening. Big plans are afoot for 2022 which will see Forged Spirits expand into producing vodka and rum. In addition to this you can expect to relax with a drink in hand at their bar, opening later in the year next to their distillery at Rutland Mills.

If you are unable to attend this event, we are not able to provide refunds Tickets may be transferred to another guest.

If due to unforeseen circumstances, this event is cancelled, you will receive a full refund.

Ticket price includes entrance, four gin cocktails and Italian Tapas. Water will also be provided for each table. Please remember to specify dietary requirements when booking tickets.

Please note, it is prohibited to bring your own food or drinks of any kind to this event. There will be a bar available to purchase drinks on the night, and the Rhubarb Food & Drink Trail showcases some excellent local bars where you can also get a drink before/after the event.

This event is strictly for over 18s only, you may be asked to show ID at the entrance. Entry will be refused to anyone under the age of 18.

This event will be located inside the Rhubarb Festival demonstration marquee on the Bulll Ring.
