Due to popular demand, ‘Forge in the Forest’ is back with soe one-off beginners’ black-smithing sessions.This is a relaxed, informal workshop for up to 5 people to have a go at black-smithing in our outdoor forge. No experience is necessary and all tools, materials and safety equipment are provided. The workshop is led by Steve Burns, who has been leading smithing sessions with our Men’s group over the past 2 years.
The forging workshops will run from 10am to 12:30 and from 1:30 to 4pm on the 12th October and the 23rd November.
Depending on your level of experience we will be creating simple beginner black-smithing projects such as a coat hook or poker. If you already have some experience Peter will discuss with you would you would like to make.
We will stop for a break about half way through each session to have a brew and a slice of cake.
