Forge your own hammer, punch and chisel. Learn how to properly heat treat steel to create tools.
About this Event

Spend a weekend learning how to heat treat carbon steel so it can be made into useful tools. We’ll show you how to forge a hammer, a chisel and a punch. Develop an understanding of basic metallurgy as it applies to the heat treating processes of normalizing, annealing, hardening and tempering. We’ll show you how to dress the working edges and faces of your tools in addition to punching, slitting and drifting the material.
