About this Event
Learn about Aberdeen’s Foresterhill Health Campus with NHS Grampian Archivist Fiona Musk, in collaboration with Grampian Hospitals Art Trust (GHAT). Fiona will lead a walking tour of the Foresterhill site, starting from Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, uncovering the complex story of how the hospitals we know today came to be.
NHS Grampian Archives and Grampian Hospitals Art Trust have been working together to retrace the history of the Foresterhill Health Campus, starting from the Joint Hospitals Scheme, a pioneering project that brought together Aberdeen's three hospitals on one site.
Meeting point is outside the Main Entrance of Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The walk takes place outdoors and the route is approximately 2 miles - appropriate footwear and outerwear is recommended!
The walk will finish at The Suttie Arts Space where there will be tea and coffee.
