About this Event
Come play among the pine trees at a fall Forest Therapy walk at Ambler Flatwoods in Michigan City. This event is co hosted by Dig the Dunes and led by Sandy Pause Yoga owner and certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide Lorraine Fitzgerald.
"Forest bathing,” as it is translated from the Japanese term “shinrin-yoku,” is a health and wellness practice that has numerous health benefits including increased immune function, lower blood pressure, restorative effects on mental focus, memory and learning. By slowing down and enlivening our senses to the abundance of the natural world, Forest Therapy walks create space for playful exploration and for-rest renewal.
Come experience what a deep sense of connection and kinship with nature can offer to you! This event will take place in the Ambler Flatwoods Nature Preserve, a part of Shirley Heinze Land Trust in Michigan City, Indiana and is appropriate for adults age 18 years and older. Registrants will receive specific information regarding this Forest Therapy walk, parking, meeting location and more. $5 from each ticket will be donated to Shirley Heinze Land Trust.
