About this Event

What is Forest School?

Check out the Forest School Association Website for more information: https://forestschoolassociation.org/what-is-forest-school/

Is Forest School suitable for my Young Person?

Yes!

All Young People are welcome and we currently have an extremely diverse core group. Everyone's needs and interests will be accommodated, as we have a very high ratio of adults to young people, so everyone can have the time and attention they need to get into their own flow and connect with nature.

Sessions are facilitated by our forest school leaders, but all activities are chosen and led by the young people themselves. All sessions are young person-centred with the aim of creating a woodland community, to increase confidence and self esteem of all.

Young people can achieve the WILD Passport and John Muirs awards. These awards will give young people new skills as well as an insight into outdoor career options.

Run by qualified Forest School practitioners, youth and play workers. Based from an outdoor centre with full facilities, every Sunday in school term time, 10am to 4pm .

Booking is essential and sessions run in 6 week blocks, but you can book on for the whole block at a discount.

The cost is £2 per session or £10 if you book all 6 sessions.

All Young People must have footwear suitable for the outdoors, waterproof and warm clothing to protect them against all weather conditions, as sessions occur throughout the year.
