The first ever Forest School sessions facilitated in Leek were from Woodcroft Recreation Ground many years ago. A small group of people came together and moved a few branches into a circle so the children could gather together. Those branches were set fire to, so we found some bigger branches. Those were also burnt to nothing. After that, the Council stepped in and helped us build something a little bit stronger. It's still there, under the Beech trees and our now big kids use it independently to meet up with friends. We feel like going back to these early beginnings for a while at least and hope you will join us for our first meet up on 10 September.
This space is beautiful, walking distance for many in Leek and at this time of year looks great with apples, blackberries, acorns all ripening, waiting for us to discover. See you there.
