Fall planting at the Forest Sanctuary
About this Event

Come transplant native and pollinator plants, save seeds and plant trees, shrubs, and low woodland plants. You will learn about plant life cycles, propagation and forest succession in an urban setting.

Over the past weeks, the KLT Land Stewardship Team has been planning for fall planting in the Forest Sanctuary to continue diversifying the plant communities there and shift them toward native and edible while filling in gaps in the tree canopy made by the large bigtooth aspen poplar trees that have died out. This is your chance to contribute to and learn about this process!

Arrive by bike or foot along the Kingston Greenline, or park in the back parking lot of John F. Kennedy Elementary School by the Pollinator Garden.
