About this Event
**This event is part of the Salford Walking Festival and is funded by Salford Council. Please only book on if you know you will attend as there are limited places available.**
Guided by Natalie, a trained Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing) practitioner, you will be shown how to reconnect to nature using mindfulness techniques, nature therapy and light exercise for improved wellbeing. This is the perfect activity if you want to de-stress and recharge in beautiful surroundings. We end our walk with a short meditation or poem and mindful tea.
Research shows us that 2 hours in nature per week can improve both our physical and mental health - it's such an enjoyable and easy way to boost your wellbeing. Autumn is such a beautiful time to be amongst the trees, don't let this stunning season pass you by!
Most of us know that a walk in nature makes us feel good, but in modern life we are trained in distraction and being present to our surroundings doesn't always come easily. Natalie will guide and support you to get the most of your time outdoors so that you feel replenished and recharged, and hopefully inspired to use what you've learned again and again. It's lovely to do this as a group having a shared experience, this enriches the walk as we can connect to and learn from each other.
Walks will go ahead in most weathers so please dress appropriately for the day. In the unlikely event the weather is particularly bad (eg a storm) we will try to rearrange.
We are not going on a hike - we will be walking slowly and stopping frequently, however please ensure you are fit enough to be outside and moving for 2 hours.
This activity is for adults and young people aged 16+ (because of my insurance) though you will definitely be able to share the practices with younger family members after the event. Unfortunately dogs are not permitted at this event, this is to allow everyone to feel relaxed and be able to focus on themselves.

See you in the trees!
