About this Event
Forest bathing at Victoria Park, Stretford - letting nature heal us
Join us for a rejuvenating experience at Victoria Park in Stretford, where we will immerse ourselves in the healing power of nature. Forest bathing, also known as Shinrin-yoku, is a practice that involves spending time in a forest to improve overall well-being.
During this in-person event, we will explore the beautiful surroundings of Victoria Park, allowing ourselves to relax and connect with nature. Through gentle walks, mindfulness exercises, and breathing techniques, we will let the forest's energy heal us from within.
We will invite you to notice the shapes of the trees against the winter sky: the patterns of the branches, the texture and colours of the bark, the birds - who are evisible at this time of year - sat in the branches.
Forest bathing has been scientifically proven to reduce stress, boost the immune system, and enhance mental clarity. It's a wonderful opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and find peace in the tranquility of nature.
So come and join us at Victoria Park for this immersive experience. We meet at the park benches by cafe in the park (see picture) at 2.15pm for a 2.30pm start. Let nature embrace you, and allow yourself to be healed by its soothing presence.
