Kathryn is currently completing her Forest Bathing guide training with ‘The Forest Bathing Institute’. As part of her training, Kathryn is offering free guided forest bathing sessions.
Forest Bathing, also known as ‘Shinrin-Yoku’ is the practice of immersing oneself in the forest atmosphere, for health and wellbeing purposes.
Since originating in Japan in the 1980s, scientific research has shown that Forest Bathing can have profound effects on mental and physical health. Benefits include reduced stress levels, boosted immune system, improved mood, memory and concentration.
This 3-hour session is accessible for all fitness levels. During the session, we will cover a short distance (approximately 2km max) with plenty of opportunity to rest and soak in the relaxing atmosphere. Meandering amongst eucalyptus and pine trees, you will be guided through a series of sensory activities and mindfulness relaxation. These are designed to help you develop a deeper connection with nature whilst experiencing the calming and rejuvenating effects of spending quality time in the forest.
Slowing down and immersing yourself in a forest environment, allows you to disconnect from that busy mind and instead connect to and experience the beauty and intellect of nature.
This is a great opportunity to try Forest Bathing at no cost! Experience the healing benefits of nature for yourself!
Further details will be provided, via email, after booking.
