About this Event

About this experience

We will use mindful Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing) techniques to heighten our senses and connection to the natural world around us.You will use this new awareness to move through the woods you will also learn about some of the animal tracks and signs around us, as well as how bird language tells us more about what is going on in the space.

We will end our session with foraged tea and some time for reflection.

About your guide

Hi I'm Jonny and I originally trained and worked as a wildlife manager and forester, learning a lot about tracking and the natural world from my elders.

Later I went in to work with vulnerable people including street homeless and those in Pr*son and then focused my work around supporting vulnerable young people. With this focus I moved to Norway to study at the Norwegian Centre for Child Research, where I also learned in depth about the Norwegian approach to nature and the outdoors known as Friluftsliv.

More recently I have trained as a natural mindfulness and Forest therapy (Shinrin-Yoku) guide to enable me to facilitate experience to connect people more deeply with the natural worl.

I have wide experience of guiding in nature including in Norway the USA and the UK and am now running regular nature experiences across South West England.
