About this Event
During our time together enjoy a gentle mindful movement practice, nature meditation, and opportunities to connect with the natural world along the way. The session concludes with tea together.
The walk is about 1-mile round trip over easy to moderate terrain. We'll meet up at the parking area for the Salem Town Trails on Music Vale Road for a hike on the Harris Brook Trail.
Forest bathing is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku - taking in the forest atmosphere. As a growing global wellness movement, it is backed by nearly 40 years of scientific research on the holistic benefits of immersing yourself in nature. These benefits include reduced stress and blood pressure, increased creativity and focus, improved mood and sleep, and a boost to immune functions. In addition to the health benefits, this practice offers a pathway of reconnection to our Earth, restoring our relationship with the natural world for the well-being of all.

What participants are saying...
My senses and emotions were engaged in an uplifting way, with curiosity and joy. – Janet Schloss
Thank you for a beautiful experience today! It felt familiar and different at the same time. Your calming presence, guidance, and white pine tea were all appreciated. – Elise Forbes
I recently participated in a Forest Bathing walk with a small group led by Regan and experienced a soothing and energizing morning. Though I walk often on trails in the woods, it was somehow different to be there for the sole purpose of sensing the deep stillness and silence that nature can provide. I felt deeply connected to the earth, the moss, the trees, the rocks, and the soft, cool air. Regan gave us good suggestions on how to connect to our environment, to listen and to breathe. It was a truly immersive experience, and one I hope to repeat soon. – Mary Guitar
