About this Event
During these unprecedented times, many of us are experiencing heightened stress, uncertainty, and disruptive changes within our lives. This Forest Bathing walk offers you an opportunity experience nearby nature, unwind, and tend to your overall wellbeing.
The healing ways of nature can be felt through practices that foster slowing down, opening our senses, and disengaging from the technological industrial drive as a means to reduce stress, restore attention, and build resilience. Forest Bathing, derived from the Japanese art of Shinrin-Yoku, is backed by research demonstrating a wide array of health benefits, particularly in the areas of cognition, cardiovascular, and immune systems. Through forest medicine; sensory engagement; physical and social activity; nature gently tends to our wellbeing.
Join Pamela, a practiced facilitator, in Amsterdam Bos for one of several sessions offered during the month of July. As the final component of her Forest Bathing Certification, Pamela offers these sessions complimentary for teachers, healthcare, and other essential workers. For others joining, donations are appreciated. Session to maintain adherence to social distancing and COVID 19 RIVM guidance. Please note, no pets and only children above 12 who are accompanied by an adult may join.
