Friday 21st March is International Day of the Forest, and I thought what a great day to head to the woods and do some forest bathing.Have you heard of forest bathing? Have you experienced it?
If you know me, if you have been to any of my retreats, or followed me for any length of time, you will probably have heard me mention it.
I love forest bathing. I practise it myself, and I am a trained Shinrin Yoku practitioner (Japanese for forest bathing). Mindfulness, woods, nature, meditation, connection, and more. I feel a deep sense of peace, self-acceptance and ease after forest bathing. I feel connected to myself, connected to my place in the universe, and strengthened in a powerful way.
Would you like to join me?
This is for mums, dads, grandparents. I particularly would love to welcome new mums and dads, and expectant parents. Forest bathing is particularly fabulous for perinatal mental health. And of course you can bring your baby.
It involves grounding ourselves in the place and the moment, a slow short mindful walk into the trees, some meditation and more mindfulness, and finishing up with some wild blackberry tea.
Feel more relaxed, more centred, and lighter.
Rushmere Country Park is one of my favourite places. Fabulous woods. We will meet at the Stockgrove entrance car park, Brickhill Road. Please arrive 9.45 to be ready to start at 10.00.
The cost of the session is £15. There is parking to pay on top: £4 for 3 hours, by card, cash or Flowbird app.
