In this late pandemic moment, how do we make sense of the forces at play that will affect how we run our schools?
About this Event

During this half-day scenario-planning workshop attendees will explore the shape of existing problems, anticipate future ones, and come away with a better sense of the ways in which tectonic shifts are reordering the way we “do school.”

Who: Directors, Division Heads, Heads of School, Presidents, Principals, Superintendents.

Facilitator Information

Christian Talbot - Christian is the President & CEO of the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools. He is also the co-founder of Juno, a strategy + design consultancy focused on organizational change and executive growth and development. He recently served as interim President of Regis High School (NY). From 2012-2017, he was the Head of School at Malvern Prep (PA). Christian co-teaches “Major Gifts: Strategy in Action” at the University of Pennsylvania. He previously served as a mentor in Penn's Education Entrepreneurship Program. He has served on several school boards of trustees.

Meghan Cureton - Meghan Cureton is a strategy consultant and a learning experience designer who has served in a variety of school leadership roles, most recently as the Upper School Head of Learning and Innovation at The Mount Vernon School. She began her career as an English teacher in private and public schools. Meghan is deeply practiced in project-based learning, mastery- based learning, and instructional coaching. A huge fan of empowering leaders within their organizations, she has collaborated on multiple toolkits and playbooks on topics such as design thinking, trust in the workplace, and leading learner-centered change.

Nicole Grimes - Nicole Grimes earned her Ph. D. in Urban Education from the Graduate Center at CUNY. From 2015-2018 she served as the first woman of color and lay-person Principal of Dominican Academy (NY), and has been a fervent STEM educator for two decades in public, private, and charter schools. As a teacher educator, Nicole has served as an adjunct assistant professor at CUNY Lehman. She has earned awards for her education publications, including Best Manuscript of the Year from CSSE and Best Manuscript Award from ASTE. Nicole consults to schools on STEM, co-teaching, school leadership, and more.
