Come learn to identify, collect, and eat about twenty edible wild plants of the Chicago area!
About this Event

In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn to identify and harvest ~20 wild edible plants of late spring in South Chicago. Participants will learn about safe and responsible foraging practices, and about the role of foraging in its cultural and ecological context. This workshop happens on-the-move, so come ready to do some walking.

This event is family-friendly and LGTBQ-friendly. Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Participants arriving by car should park in the 1686 E Hayes Dr Parking area, near the south end of Wooded Island, where we will meet. Restrooms may not be readily accessible.
