Did you know that Maine has several edible mushroom species? This workshop is an introduction to identifying and foraging edible wild mushrooms. Part of this workshop will take place outside as weather permits.Presenter & Description: Richie Tory is an avid mushroom hunter, organic farmer and vegetarian cook living and working for over 50 years on his Central Maine farm He has been leading mushroom workshops and walks for more than 30 years. This workshop (walk) is for foraging beginners who wish to find common choice edible mushrooms and learn how to identify them and what to avoid. Materials will be provided.
