Forager and chef Vinny Crotta and CT Foraging Club founder Amy Demers will be co-teaching a class on foraging and cooking with foraged ingredients. You will learn how to identify and utilize edible and medicinal plants and mushrooms that can be found this time of year. Chef Vinny will discuss how to utilize these wild ingredients in the kitchen.Class will consist of a 45-minute lecture where you will learn how to differentiate edible plant and mushroom species from any possible look-alikes. We will also discuss foraged recipes. We will then go on a 45-minute walk where we will practice plant and mushroom ID.
