‘Forage-Flower Mandalas’ is a nature walk and ephemeral art workshop, with an emphasis on discovery, co-creation and sustainability.
About this Event

Local artist and nature lover Bridgette Minuzzo will lead participants in an adventure walk in the park to sustainably gather natural materials (fallen sticks, leaves, bark, blossoms). Bridgette will lead participants young and old, to co-create large mandalas in the shape of native flowers. Collected natural materials will be set into patterns made by the artist with coloured sand and coloured mulch outlines.

The workshops are designed to heighten the observation of nature we find at our feet. Participants will learn about leaf litter habitat, and be inspired by flowering plants native to South Australia. Taking inspiration from nature sculptor Andy Goldsworthy, natural materials will be used and only photographs will be taken from the site. The ephemeral artworks are designed and made so the organic materials will return to nature.
