Forage, Ferment & Feast A guided foraging walk, seasonal lunch & a wild fermentation workshop.
Within the stunning estate of Whitmore, Emma from Wild Pickle would love to share the beauty of this landscape, taking you on a guided walk, learning how to safely identify plants & forage for some flavoursome wild seasonal ingredients, that we will turn into delicious ferments for you to take away and enjoy!
We will find a range of Spring plants that ferment. We will then head back to where we will create some great ferments. These will be a sauerkraut, which is a great way to introduce lacto fermentation and we will create a wild spring kimchi.
We will have a lunch with refreshments and lots of tasters for you to enjoy and get a flavour of what you can create.
We provide everything you need to create your ferments. Please bring a little basket/cotton bag for any wild greens we may pick up on the way, to add to your ferments.
