Step into the vibrant world of spring and discover the hidden treasures this season has to offer. Guided by an experienced forager, you’ll uncover the natural wonders of the area and gain insights into the culinary, medicinal, and craft uses of springtime plants and flowers. After we forage, we will enjoy a delightful lunch created with seasonal foraged ingredients (vegetarian).During the 2 hour walk, we will:
⦁ Introduce you to the basics of spring foraging and guide you through your first seasonal adventure.
⦁ Teach you how to identify key spring plants, herbs, flowers, and shrubs.
⦁ Share culinary tips and traditional uses for foraged ingredients, including edible greens and flowers.
⦁ Discuss the ethics and etiquette of foraging with respect for nature.
⦁ Explain important rules and legislation about foraging in the UK.
You'll then return to the classroom to enjoy a delicious vegetarian lunch consisting of:
Seasonal Wild Greens Soup with Sourdough bread and wild garlic butter
Mushroom Stir-fry with a zesty sauce
Wildflower and Honey Pots with a natural yoghurt
