For the Family is a community organization which aims to empower marginalized communities through sharing information via media outlets, in person programming such as know your rights training, and providing scholarship opportunities for those interested in public defense.

Disclaimer: Proceeds from this event will fund the Charlotte E. Ray Scholarship. This scholarship was created to provide a resource to black law graduates pursuing a career in public defense. The goal is to support two black law graduates starting employment at a public defenders office this fall. We hope to raise money for them to use towards bar prep fees, bar applications fees, or any other related needs. Your contribution, no matter the size, will have a significant effect on these aspiring professionals, enabling them to concentrate on their bar prep.
