For the The Love of Trees VII - Nature and History in Greenlawn When - Saturday September 13th 9:00AM -12:00PM
We will start with beautiful music by Jen and Bob Strom. Please join us for a lovely morning.
Where- Greenlawn Cemetery, 57 Orne Street in Salem, MA. Please meet at the Dickson Chapel just inside the Orne Street side gate behind the office. Please park outside the cemetery and walk in if you are able. Greenlawn Cemetery is an active cemetery with funerals taking place.
Come see a beautiful 55 acre rural cemetery and accredited arboretum in North Salem. This beautiful, historic cemetery, Greenlawn Cemetery and the accredited F. Carroll Sargent Arboretum have so much history, nature and beauty to share. We will have tree lovers and those that know Greenlawn well sharing special history, trees, and nature with guided strolls throughout Greenlawn. We will also view and share the history of the 1894 High Victorian Gothic Dickson Memorial Chapel along with any restoration updates.
This event is free and everyone is welcome. We will be selling friends shirts, hats, 1/4 zip and sweatshirts as well as picture cards of Greenlawn and the arboretum. We will also be having a silent auction for a beautiful painting donated by Rachel Kantner. All proceeds and donations are for the restoration of the two sets of front doors of the 1894 Dickson Memorial Chapel.
