Shatha Mahmoud is a Palestinian refugee, student and organizer with the Palestinian Youth Movement. They will be sharing their poetry with us.
William Koperqualuk is a 14 yr old, budding inuk musician from Salluit, Nunavik currently living in the south. He has been playing fiddle and violin for 9 yrs and has played for the Toronto Inuit Association, Kitchener Market, Sparkles Christmas Market and now the Willow River Centre. He will be performing some fiddle, classical and popular music while you dine.
Born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey, Juneyt is a seasoned self-taught Flamenco & Nuevo-Flamenco guitarist with 25 years of expertise. His musical journey has seen him share the stage with luminaries like Liona Boyd, Santana, and the Doobie Brothers.
Caleb deGroot-Maggetti (they/them) is a Kitchener-based musician and music teacher. They started their musical career playing piano and concertina with their family band, Fiddle 'n' Swing. Since then, they've played with various local bands, including two performances at the Waterloo Jazz Festival with the Iron Tonic Jazz Band. Today, they're the music director at the Church of the Good Shepherd. They enjoy songs that come from the heart, music that makes you want to dance, and anything else that brings people together for a good time.
